Cassette founders had a vision of a future in which the Spotify girls and Apple Music bros could freely share music with each other.
Knowing that Spotify's biggest moat against competitors is migration friction, I helped the Cassette founders visually brand this vision and bring it to life by a one-click migration experience for songs/playlists - lowering platform switching costs and enabling growth for competitors.

Cassette founders indicated they wanted the app to have a retro feel à la 90s cartoons but still feel modern enough to inspire confidence.
I chose beige, dark, and red colors, along with the fonts Teko and Atkinson Hyperbole to create a playful, retro-inspired aesthetic with a modern twist.

In talking to the founders, I felt that the power of the Cassette web app would sell itself to users.
I kept the landing page minimal and focused on users/page visitors converting songs and playlist links to other platforms, rather than a longer lander espousing the benefits of using Cassette.
